In 1994, firm founders Michael Perry and Michael Carnahan left their large (150+ attorney) Phoenix all-purpose firm (O’Connor, Cavanagh) in search of a legal life which focused on what they do best - civil litigation. With over 33 years (now 67) of civil litigation experience between them, the Michaels believed they could best provide their clients with quality, timely, and economical service in a “boutique” setting. Time and effort has proven that belief to be true. Ensuring quality through good, honest attorneys and the finest available technology, the firm is able to offer superior, timely legal services at a lower cost than its larger brethren. 

Both Carnahan and Perry hold the highest possible rating (“AV”) as to legal ability and ethical standards, per the worldwide independent peer review process which evaluates attorneys (Martindale-Hubbell®). These high standards have been continued through the addition of experienced litigation partners Chris Hanlon and Gary Hudson.

All litigators in the firm are “trial lawyers”, not “discovery” or “settlement” attorneys, with over 100 jury trials under their collective belts. These lawyers realize, however, that a client’s interests are always best served by fairly evaluating each case on its merits and attempting completion of a fair settlement at the earliest possible opportunity. The firm retains its clients through fair, timely and economical case resolution, being prepared to go to trial, but doing so only when necessary.
